Employee Spotlight – Allen Graves

Employee Spotlight- Allen Graves, Ag Technician – Swift Current

If you want to get a feel for the type of man Allen Graves is, know this, if he could be anyone else for a day, he would choose President of The United States simply to mess around on Twitter.

Graves is full of surprises! He owns a martial arts studio, is a third-degree black belt, enjoys landscape photography, and owns 14 motorcycles. In his words, “I’m not quite a crazy cat lady, but pretty close.” When Allen was a child, his dream job was to be a motorcycle technician. This was what he did for several years until Graves turned his talents to agriculture equipment, and the rest is history. Graves has been working at Redhead for five years Allen says being a road technician “isn’t regular, every day is different, your manager hands you a list of jobs you take off and work your way through the day.” Graves says. “He enjoys the variety.”

Graves is the type of person who goes above and beyond when it comes to customer service. He has a willingness to learn, to problem solve. He enjoys working his way through issues and getting it right for the customer. Graves goes on to tell a story, “Coming home one night, it was fairly late, like ten o’clock, a semi on the side of the road blew a coolant line, I had some hoses in my truck and helped him (the driver) fix it quickly, I left him with some coolant so he could get his truck off the road.” Graves said.

If Allen could give any advice to someone new coming to work for Redhead, it would be “learn everything you can from everybody and have an open mind.” Graves said.

Thanks, Allen for all your hard work and for showing us what it means to truly do “Whatever it takes.”
