Employee Spotlight – William Pulyk

William Pulyk, Product Support Representative,  5+ years – Saskatoon

William Pulyk has been working with Redhead Equipment as a Product Support Representative for the past five years out of the Saskatoon branch. He spent the early years of his adult life working as a farmer before moving on to try a different path working in the insurance industry, and ended up operating his own business  which allowed him to travel and explore the world through entrepreneurship.  During his time as an entrepreneur he missed the living skies and wide open spaces of the Saskatchewan prairies and in time came back home, returning to the industry he truly enjoys.  “I really enjoy working with all the different divisions, agriculture, construction, trucking, forestry, and working with RMs, truckers, farmers, and customers from all different backgrounds.” William mentioned of his satisfaction in the Product Support role.

Over the past five plus years William says he has never had the same day twice. He’s been able to experience different fields of work with different customers throughout the province; from up North in logging camps to out in the fields of different customers in different zones, every day is something new to experience. William mentioned, “We cover a big territory and we all really want to give the best level of customer service that we can. We really want to work the customers’ needs into our schedule but sometimes you just wish you could be there right now to help them,” when speaking on what he finds challenging about the role, serving all customers as best as possible is a priority.

When William thinks of Redhead Equipment he thinks of good customer service. He’s said the company is full of so many intelligent people who are earnestly trying to help the customers. “I see it in every department, it truly is about helping the customer and that is what is going to keep the company going.” Will said about the contributing to the longevity of the company. He has said being able to help customers solve their problems and contribute to the success of their business is very rewarding, and the most rewarding thing is when someone from another department or branch will be visiting a mutual customer and they mention how much you’ve helped them, which really provides a sense of accomplishment.

We asked him what his thoughts on our tagline Whatever It Takes are and he reflected on a time he helped a customer in Alberta with a machine down, “I left around 1am to get there and help them get the machine going, and we did get it going. I could tell lots of stories of dedicating all hours to taking care of our customers and that’s really what it’s about.”

We asked him when he knew Redhead Equipment was the right place for him and he said “seeing certain people really go out of their way to focus on their customers’ needs and to really ‘look outside the box’ in order to serve them. I felt these were very likeminded individuals and it’s the right fit.”
